It was really great to meet you and to be present yesterday morning to see your very thoughtful presentation. The Lord bless you as you continue to present what Jesus proclaimed ... that even the rocks would cry out ... if we wouldn't praise Him. David W. Zavitz
There was a great lineup of local speakers at the Creation Weekend Event at Goodwood Baptist Church in Goodwood Ontario where the Creation Museum of Ontario is housed.
Folks were encouraged and challenged in all the events.

Subject: Evidence from Nova Scotia Fossils. (Details below)
The next day in Sunday School in a presentation by Martin Legemaate people learned
about the fossils of Nova Scotia and the evidence they show for catastrophism and giantism.
Evidence shows a better environment in the past because of large fossil plants and animals
harmonizing nicely with what the bible says about the world starting out a "Good".

LECTURES
Friday 7:30 p.m. Dr. Gary Chiang
Interacting with Christian Evolutionists: A View From the Trenches.
Creationists steadfastly proclaim the truth of the Bible by diligently exposing the scientific flaws in evolution, the dogma that forms the foundation for atheism. But Satan has a new weapon to fight the Creationist—the Christian Evolutionist. Through the efforts of highly acclaimed Christians in the sciences, Christians are now being convinced to ignore the facts and to believe that evolution must be true since God could have used evolution to create. Dr. Gary Chiang is a biology professor at Redeemer University College, a Christian university in Ancaster, Ontario. Although Redeemer University College does not officially support evolution, several of its faculty and many other Christian institutions in North America do. Gary will report on his interactions with Christian evolutionists who believe in Evolutionary Creation, and what he has done to maintain the truth of Scripture in his biological research and in his classroom.
Lecture Outline:
-what is theistic evolution
-how did theistic evolution gain a strangle-hold in Christian academia
-the American Scientific Affiliation
-the Templeton Foundation
-BioLogos and Evolutionary Creation
-how intelligent people can differ
-observations versus opinions
-scientific evidence versus scientific consensus
-church policies on evolution
-Christian colleges and evolution
-the Arthur Custance Center for Science and Christianity stands against theistic evolution
-interacting with Christian academics who believe in evolution
-Celia Dean-Drummond
-Deborah and Loren Haarsma
-Justin Roberts
-the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde of theistic evolution
-questions and discussion

Creation and Catastrophe.
-Self tour
-Locate in the displays answers to a handed out question sheet and if your
correctly answered sheet is drawn from a bucket you win a fabulous local
fossil. Snack time follows ending with the draw for the fossil prize.
-Fossil Hunt
-Split open shale slabs at the research table and locate your own trilobite
and other fossils. (Yes you get to keep them!).

Saturday 1:30 p.m. Frank and Carol Brandon
Subject: Creation/Evolution.... A look at some basics, Part 1
Where does the evidence lead? Is the earth old or young?
Join us as we look at the world around us, explain what evolution is, and examine whether or not there is evidence to support biological evolution.
We’ll also explain various dating methods and see if the evidence suggests an old earth or a young earth. Evidence from a variety of fields will be evaluated: astronomy, paleontology, and geology. Let’s see how what we see in the world around us supports what we read in God’s Word.
This is a fast-paced, easy to understand talk appropriate for adults and teens.
The talk will be divided between the two time slots.

Noah's Flood: How'd it happen?
One of Ian's more popular talks, he explains the work of Dr. Walter T. Brown and his "hydroplate" model. A fascinating subject on how Noah's flood may have happened, this model suddenly explains many features we see around the world today - and many that most can only read about. Ian takes us on a fascinating journey in catastrophism around the world, tying it all together into one stunning model that seems to explain it all in one fell swoop.

were much bigger. Why does this fit the biblical picture?

The Greatest Weapon Ever Formed Against the Bible
An intriguing look into the history of uniformitarian geology: Where the idea came from, how it was promoted, its profound effect on the scientific community and the world as a whole, and of course, why it has been by far the most effective weapon ever launched against the Bible. Contrary to common belief, the idea of an old earth was not birthed out of good science, but rather out of religious motivations, and in an attempt to discredit the Bible. Ian exposes the history of bad science which swept the world and ultimately led to Darwin's theory of evolution. Ian also shows how deep time simply cannot fit into the Scriptures, and then goes on to show that deep time not only fails to solve problems for evolution, it actually causes more problems for evolution.
